St Aidan's is the Church of England parish church in part of East Gravesend, serving two large areas of housing, schools and shops: Westcourt and Riverview Park. Historically speaking, St Aidan's is part of the ancient parish of Chalk St Mary and continues to bear witness to Christ in the community through sacrament, prayer and community engagement.
Safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults is very important to us. See the 'About us' section for details of who to contact in the parish. Policies, advice and information from the Diocese of Rochester can be found in the 'Links' section.
Coronavirus All public worship in the Church of England has ceased until further notice.
Black Lives Matter: St Aidan's is a very diverse church, with people from many nations in Africa, from the Caribbean and Sri Lanka. We celebrate that diversity and abhor any form of racism or discrimination. We welcome people from all backgrounds and cultures here and long to worship together again when it is safe to do so. Please see our Facebbok Page and Twitter feed for updated posts, videos and information.
Please see the Church of England website for access to online worship. For those who have no internet access, the Church of England has a free phone line 'Daily Hope', with reflections, hymns and prayers. It is available 24/7. 0800 804 8044
